A little about me…
Hi, my name is Suzanne. I’m from Scotland and I have lived in Verona in northern Italy, for almost 7 years now.
My love for photography began in childhood, sparked by my grandad, who first introduced me to toy cameras before teaching me how to use his Olympus film camera—one I still cherish and use today. In high school, my incredible art teacher encouraged my passion, allowing me to use that same camera in class. As part of my final year exam, I had the opportunity to develop my own film photographs, an experience that solidified my desire to pursue photography further.
I went on to study Photography at the University of the West of Scotland in Glasgow, where I spent four years refining my skills. Many of my courses focused on shooting 35mm film, both in colour and black and white, along with the full developing process. After graduating with a BA Hons in Photography, I moved straight into a commercial photography role in London, where I lived for 5 years, turning my passion into a career.
Moving to Italy reinforced my love for photography in ways I never could have imagined. Walking through the streets of Verona, I find endless inspiration in the golden light, the centuries-old architecture, and the everyday beauty that surrounds me. Every corner of this city tells a story, and capturing those fleeting moments—whether it’s a quiet embrace on a sun-drenched piazza or the laughter of a family exploring hidden alleyways—feels like pure magic. But what I love most is meeting new people, hearing their stories, and preserving their memories through with photos. Photography has always been about connection for me, and in Verona, that passion has only grown stronger.
